Our Beatles tours in Liverpool depart daily from the Royal Albert Dock on Gower Street at 12pm, before making a second pick-up stop at the Pier Head, so you can choose whichever location is most convenient for you. During busy periods, such as the Easter break and the summer holidays, we also operate an additional tour at 2pm. The tour takes you on a journey through the story of the Fab Four, visiting famous Beatles landmarks, including Strawberry Field, Penny Lane and their childhood homes, before returning to the dock. The Beatles Explorer is currently not a hop-on, hop-off bus tour. Instead, it is a guided bus tour designed to take you past many of Liverpool’s most historic Beatles sights, including the band members’ childhood homes. Along the way, you’ll hear fascinating stories about the Fab Four and the places that shaped their music. The bus will stop at Penny Lane and Strawberry Field for up to 15 minutes for photos only. Passengers are free to visit the Strawberry Field Exhibition (20% off with us!) and can return to the city centre on the next bus (if you weren’t on the last stop) or make their own way back.
The Beatles bus tour lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes from the Royal Albert Dock until its return. During the journey, you will drive past iconic Beatles destinations while listening to insightful facts from our guide. The duration includes a few minutes for you to take photos at Penny Lane and Strawberry Field. You can also visit the Strawberry Field Exhibition (tickets are 20% off for our customers!) and return on a later bus (if you’re not on the last tour) or make your own way back. We will take you to the band members’ childhood homes, including a short stop where Paul McCartney grew up, before passing through Otterspool and returning to the dock. Our Beatles tours in Liverpool begin at the Royal Albert Dock on Gower Street. If you’re coming to the city by cruise, we also stop at the Pier Head just outside the Cruise Terminal, where you will disembark the ship. Are you arriving via train? Lime Street is the largest station and is approximately a 25-minute walk away; alternatively, you can take a taxi outside the station. Other nearby train stations include James Street and Liverpool Central, which run regular local services. The Liverpool ONE bus station is just over the road from us, with many local services stopping here, including connections from Queen Square bus station and National Express coaches.
